James joined JLL in April 2016, assuming the role of an associate in the Capital Markets team within the Hotels and Hospitality Group. James’ areas of focus include investment sales, acquisition and strategic advisory, corporate capital markets advisory and financing.
Prior to joining JLL, James worked within the real estate private equity and management consulting industries. He has extensive experience in capital raising, acquisitions and disposals, development, and asset management within the broader real estate sector. He has a year of experience in the generalist consulting space and four years in the real estate sector. This includes working with retail, commercial, industrial and hotel assets.
James began his career at a global management consulting firm, where he consulted to large JSE listed companies. Subsequently he joined a South African based real estate investment, development, and private equity company, where as an investment analyst, he assisted with acquisitions and disposals, developments and asset management. He later moved to their West African focused retail development fund, where he was instrumental in both the capital raising process and establishing a scalable development product.
